School History

When established in 1903 Osborne Primary had 17 students. They would all have come from families operating the many dairy farms and market gardens in the Osborne Park area.

Over the years those dairy farms and market gardens have gradually gone (some of the market gardens only recently) to be replaced by residential areas, and to the south and west, by business and light industrial.

Our school now has an enrolment of approximately 200 students.

Our school is is determined to provide a quality education, of equal opportunity, that will cater for the specific needs of all children in our community. We will provide a safe and supportive environment in which our students can develop the knowledge, skills, understandings and confidence to achieve to their individual potential in an exciting future.

The education, both academic and non academic, of all our students is a responsibility shared by everyone at Osborne Primary School.

Successful students are at the centre of our school improvement. Each school program and activity is evaluated in relation to the impact on students. We assess, we plan for improvement strategies, we action those strategies.
