Independent Public School
Osborne Primary School
The creation of Independent Public Schools is an exciting development in Western Australian Public Education.
Osborne Primary School was selected to become an Independent Public School for 2015.
In order to operate with more autonomy, as an Independent Public School we are afforded a number of flexibilities. These include selection of both teaching and non teaching staff and greater flexibility in the implementation of school finances, with the intention of providing programs to more directly cater for the specific needs of our students.
Although we are called an Independent Public School we remain part of the public school system, and as such retain all the benefits which that entails.
We have a newly formed School Board, consisting of 6 parents and 3 staff members. The board assists in the development of our Strategic Directions through the Osborne Primary Business Plan.
